Volunteer Coaching Application

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Plan, organize, and implement practices and games
Direct assistant coaches and team parents
Teach the young athlete the fundamentals of the sport
Encourage the involvement of the parent(s) in the sport
Schedule and conduct necessary meeting (parent meeting, end of season activities, etc.)
Provide a safe and fun environment for the children. Learn and follow league rules, policies, and procedures
Ensure equal playing time for each participant
Put the feelings of the participants ahead of your desire to win
Attend all league meeting and trainings

QUALIFICATIONS:

Successfully complete all necessary paperwork (application packet and background checks)
Attend any scheduled coaching interviews or meetings
Be able to put winning in its place, after the needs and wants of the players
Be patient, organized, dependable, and enthusiastic

CRIMINAL BACKGROUND SCREENING ACKNOWLEDGEMENT

Beginning on January 1, 2016 all coaches and assistant coaches participating in the youth sports will be required to have their VOLUNTEER Pennsylvania Clearances (Pa Criminal Record and Pa Child Abuse). Both are FREE and all coaches will be required to present these clearances prior to coaching games at the East Hills Recreation Commission (Richland Rockets League). THANK YOU!

I also understand if a situation arises after initial clearances have been submitted that prevents me from signing this statement annually, I could receive disciplinary action, including removal from my position. *
